MediaTek has launched a new 6nm chipset in the market, the MediaTek Helio G200.
The chip is built with an octa-core CPU, combining 2x Cortex-A76 cores at up to 2.2GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2.0GHz, optimized through heterogeneous multi-processing for better power efficiency.
It works with LPDDR4X RAM (fast memory) at 4266Mbps, and supports UFS 2.2 storage, which helps apps open and load faster. Graphics performance is handled by the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU running up to 1.1GHz.
Also, MediaTek Helio G200 supports display resolutions up to 2520 x 1080 with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
For optics, it supports up to 200MP, with features like 3X ISP, AI face detection, hardware depth engine, and electronic image stabilization (EIS). It can handle 32MP at 30fps or dual 16MP at 30fps.
It can encode video in H.264 and H.265 at up to 2K 30fps, and playback is supported for H.264, H.265, and VP9 formats at up to 2K 30fps, FHD 60fps, and HD 120fps.
Apart from that, the processor includes broad 4G support, including Carrier Aggregation (CA), 4×4 MIMO, Dual 4G VoLTE, and Band 71. It also includes MediaTek’s Elevator Mode and other network enhancements like TAS 2.0 and HPUE. Supported GNSS systems include GPS, QZSS, Galileo, BeiDou, and NAVIC.
For connectivity, MediaTek Helio G200 features Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth 5.2.
What do you think? Do you find it similar to the MediaTek Helio G100?
