Prominent tipsters, Ice Universe, have recently shared on Twitter the benchmark results of several top-tier processors.
Processors in the Geekbench 5 result include the MediaTek Dimensity 9000, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Samsung Exynos 2200, as well as the Apple Bionic 15 which topped the ranking. There’s also the Snapdragon 888 chip. The preliminary benchmarks suggests that the Dimensity 9000 could be the new CPU king in the Android segment.
The result shows the Dimensity 9000 beating the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the Exynos 2200 in both multi-threaded and single-threaded scores. In particular, it achieved a Single-Core score of 1278 and a Multi-Score score of 4410. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 gen 1 followed with a Single-Core score of 1231 and a Multi-Core score of 3752. On the other hand, Samsung’s Exynos 2200 scored 1109 in Single-Core and 3534 in the Multi-Core.
Note that results may still differ as to the Exynos 2200 and Dimensity 9000 are not officially out yet and the actual performance of these processors may still change. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is now powering some of the flagship smartphones in the market including the Xiaomi 12 and 12 pro.
