Lenovo Legion 7i and Legion 5i: RTX 2080 Super, 10th-gen Intel CPU H-Series, Start at P50K

Lenovo is answering back at ASUS with Nvidia’s new RTX GPU and Intel’s latest 10th-gen H-Series CPUs. Geared towards gamers, the powerful machines are expected to launch globally on April 16. Based on North American prices, Legion 7i will start at $1199(~P60K) with Legion 5i at $999(~P50K). In addition to the two laptops are the Legion Y540 and Y740 with the same starting prices, respectively. The company did not reveal the entire spec sheet of either of these devices, however, it did share the most important bits of it.

Legion 5i

Commanding the Legion-brand laptops are the 7i and 5i. Both come with Nvidia G-Sync support and higher clock speeds, thanks to the new GPUs. The Legion 7i will sport up to RTX 2080 Super Max-Q Design while the Legion 5i will carry up to RTX 2060. Being the first two laptops to feature Nvidia Advanced Optimus, the technology is claimed to improve battery efficiency. By detecting GPU workloads, the hardware can dynamically switch between the Nvidia GPU and the integrated GPU thus preserving battery life. 

Legion Y540 and Y740

Not much has been revealed about the Legion Y540 and Y740 aside from their price tags. However, the former gaming laptop will feature an RTX 2060 option while the latter with RTX 2070.
