Together with the MacBook Air 2020 and Mac Mini 2020, Apple also launched the iPad Pro 2020. The tablet comes in two sizes — 11″ which starts at P47,990 and 12.9″ which costs P59,990. Both are available in Space Gray and Silver finishes with the option to upgrade to cellular capability. A new A12Z Bionic chip powers the tablet, along with the neural engine. But, the biggest upgrades are the addition of a 10MP ultrawide camera (and the LIDAR scanner for depth sensing and AR) and the optional Magic Keyboard with floating design and a trackpad to provide a laptop-like experience.
In typical Apple fashion, as you may have guessed, the keyboard accessory is purchased separately. As of writing, it’s not priced yet in the Philippines. But in the US, the keyboard for the smaller model will cost $299(~P15,300) with the bigger model at $349$299(~P17,800). If you own an iPad Pro 2019, you can purchase the keyboard as it’s compatible. Furthermore, Apple’s interesting accessory won’t arrive until May. The Magic Keyboard, aside from the trackpad, features backlit keys and floating design. It seems like strong magnets are used to keep the tablet in place. You may think that the experience might be the same as having a MacBook, however, Apple “reimagined” the trackpad with iPad OS, saying it’s a whole different experience.
