How to Install Google Apps on your smartphone

If you are planning to buy a phone that will come from a different region, for example, directly from China. Most likely, it won’t come with pre-installed Google Apps. Not even Google Play Store.

The same case is found with the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 that we’ve recently reviewed and did not come with Google Apps.

If you are planning to buy the Mi Note 2 or any devices without Google Apps, below is a step-by-step guide on how to easily install the Play Store app without downloading separate applications using your browser or computer.

It already worked before with the Mi 5, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 3 Pro, Redmi 3, and Mi Pad 2 with different versions of MI UI and still works with the Mi Note 2.

Guide on how to easily install Google Play Store app on smartphones

  1. Insert SIM card on your smartphones (If you experience connecting to Google Server or having this error, be sure to insert a working SIM card of your local network provider)
  2. Launch Mi App store
  3. Search for “Google”
  4. Click the Baidu icon (blue pawprint)
  5. Click the top app with Play Store and Google Services package
  6. Install and launch
