After showcasing breakthrough technologies at the MWC 2024 in Barcelona, Spain, Infinix has released a new smartphone in India– the Infinix Smart 8 Plus.
It is another smartphone that sports a design similar to Apple’s iPhone. Its display is 6.6 inches with 1612 x 720 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 500 nits of brightness. The punch-hole cutout, which has a Magic Ring feature similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, houses an 8MP selfie camera.
At the helm, it is powered by MediaTek’s 2.2 GHz Helio G36 12nm octa-core processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM (+ 4GB Virtual RAM) and 128GB eMMC 5.1 expandable storage.
Juicing it up is a 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
At the back, it comes with a 50MP main camera, an AI lens, and a Quad-LED Ring flash.
Pricing and Availability
The Infinix Smart 8 Plus is priced at INR 7,799 (~PHP 5,274) and will be available in India starting March 9th.
There’s no word yet for a local release, but this may be another addition to the locally available Smart 8 Series.
