Huawei P40 Prototype Reveals Comfortable Design

An Exclusive Look at Huawei P40 Prototype

During the launch event of Huawei Mate XsDigital Trends was given a unique opportunity to picture a phone codenamed “Polarie”. Clad in Blue color with a Teal aluminum frame, the handset is said to be a Huawei P40 prototype. This also means the design aspects that we’re about to mention are subject to change until the official release date. With that in mind, here’s what to expect from the upcoming flagship device of Huawei.

Huawei P40 has four main cameras on the back with one being a periscope lens, given the familiar sheer size that we’ve seen from the P30 Pro. The huge camera module only houses three sensors, as the fourth sensor can be seen from the bottom portion of the black strip. There’s a good chance that we’re looking at a macro sensor to complete the quad-camera setup. Digital Trends mentioned that the curved back glass adds to the grip-ability of the device. Although not shown deliberately, the display has a curved edge too but not extremely. Thus, making the P40 a comfortable phone to use and navigate. The bottom portion of the device shows the USB-C port and a speaker grille, along with two microphones. Both the power button and volume rocker are situated on the right-hand side while the opposite side houses the SIM-tray. Whether you like it or not, there’s no headphone jack.

According to previous leaks and rumors, there will be three models — P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro Premium (PE). All three are set to be revealed on March 26. The P40 is said to pack a triple camera setup but that seems to be not the case here (that’s simply the case when dealing with rumors). While quad-camera and Penta-camera setups are reserved for the P40 Pro and P40 Pro PE, respectively.
