
HUAWEI has officially introduced the HUAWEI Mate XT, the world’s first tri-fold smartphone, featuring an ultra-thin design and advanced folding technology, in the Philippines.
The device offers three display modes, the single screen mode is 6.4 inches OLED, for dual screen mode features 7.9 inches OLED, while the triple screen mode 10.2 inches OLED for a full-screen. It also boast up to 2232 × 3184 pixel resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
For the cameras, it features a 50 MP ultra aperture camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide, and a 12 MP periscope telephoto. It also has a single 8 MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Kirin 9010 octa-core chipset paired with 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage. It also runs on EMUI 14.2 operating system.
Battery-wise, it is packed with 5600mAh with 66W wired charging, 50W wireless.
Moreover, the Mate XT features an Advanced Precision Hinge System that supports both inward and outward folding. It uses multi-directional flexible materials, a Non-Newtonian Fluid layer, and ultra-thin glass (UTG) for durability and a smooth folding experience.
The hinge is reinforced with ultra-high-strength steel with 1,900MPa deformation resistance, designed to handle frequent folding. A Multi-Drive Precision Tuning system with 26 precision cams ensures smooth transitions between modes.
The HUAWEI Mate XT is now available for pre-order from February 28 to March 31 with a price of PHP199,999.
Customers who pre-order will receive a HUAWEI FreeClip and 1-Year Accidental Screen Damage Protection worth PHP 39,998.
