Huawei to focus in the low end market

Huawei’s President Ren Zhengfei is reported to have hinted at an internal meeting that he’d want to focus on low-end smartphones this year. The company recently disclosed that it shipped 153 million smartphones in 2017 (10% from 2016’s figure).

He stated that low-end smartphones cater for the needs of the general public which would total to almost 90% of the consumers globally.  So, Mr. Ren thought that it is important for the company to focus on low-end products than high-end smartphones to make more profits.

This is going to be Huawei’s strategy for 2018 in order to maintain their growth. The company is seriously taking up the challenge rivals like Apple and Samsung, by focusing on the low-end smartphones.
