In Taiwan, HTC launched two premium mid-range phones — one of them is the HTC U19e. Priced at NT$ 14,900 or ~P25k, it features a refreshing design and interesting specs.
The HTC U19e is available in two colors — Modest Green and Extraordinary Purple. While the former looks like a typical smartphone, the latter comes with a unique translucent look on the back. Furthermore, its purple hue design is strikingly beautiful.

As for the spec sheet, the U19e has a 6″ OLED display and four cameras to use. The back features 12MP f1.8 main and 20MP f2.6 2x telephoto lens. While the selfie camera makes use of a 24MP f2.0 sensor, with the other 2MP depth sensor made for iris scanning. If you’re not fond of it, you can always use the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Performance-wise, it’s a capable premium mid-range phone, thanks to a Snapdragon 710 with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. There’s a large 3930mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support, but the retail box includes a QC 3 wall adapter (unfortunately). Also, there’s no headphone jack.
While the chances of HTC U19e arriving in the Philippines is slim, hopefully, the company brings its new mid-range phone, as we think it’s gorgeous and interesting.
