During an unboxing of the Google Pixel 2, an XDA Developer’s link was shared in the caption. The linked URL showed instructions on how to install some of its live wallpapers for non-pixel smartphones since many are interested in the Google Pixel 2 wallpapers.
As of now, the Google Pixel 2 live wallpapers are available for arm64 devices only. Below are the basic instructions per Pranav Pandey, who posted the beta download. If you want to download the wallpapers, links and other questions, click here.
Note: It will not replace the Live Earth Wallpapers as the package name is different. So, you can install all the wallpapers (from Pixel and Pixel 2) together.
1. Uninstall any previous apk otherwise, a signature conflict will occur.
2. Download the apk from below section.
3. Install it as a normal app using any file manager or via adb.
4. Select from different live wallpapers. Wallpapers > Live wallpapers >
On some devices/ROMs (like Samsung, etc.), please install Google Wallpapers to set live wallpapers.
