There is a simple method that you can use to restore space to your computer or phone or to fix a problem that might have been caused by a temporary file screwing up your work. That is also one of the best ways to restore space to your computer.
That method is simple: clear your browser cache. You may not know the clearing feature unless instructed to remove past stored cache.
This article will take you through the process of clearing your cache on both your Android and iOS devices. It has also included instructions on removing the data for a single website if you need to do so in the future.
GOOGLE CHROME

- Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select More Tools then Clear Browsing Data from the desktop version of the product. You can clear browsing data on the mobile app by going to Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data.
- Ensure that the box that says Cached images and files is checked.
In addition to removing your browsing history and cookies, you can also choose to delete specific cookies if you desire – click on the Advanced tab if you want to go into more detail.
- You can use the Time range drop-down menu to select how far back in time to go. If you want to clear your cache, it is best to do it at any time.
- Press the Clear data button.
SITE-SPECIFIC DATA CLEARING
- The three dots can be found at the top right corner of the screen.
- You can access Cookies and other site data by selecting Settings > Privacy > Cookies and other site data.
- You can find all cookies and data associated with the site by scrolling down and clicking on the link.
- Click on the trash can icon to the right of the website’s name that you are looking for in the upper right corner of the window.
SAFARI – APPLE

It is interesting to note that Safari can quickly clear all your data – including your cache, browsing history, and cookies – at once.

The easiest way to do this is to follow these steps:
- While using the Safari browser on your desktop computer, go to the top menu and select Safari > Clear History from the drop-down menu.
- Choosing the period you would like to clear (last hour, today, today, and yesterday, all history) by clicking on the Clear History button will help you to do that.
- You can select a time by clicking on the Clear button and selecting the date range. It would also be easy to tap the History icon (the clock) on your iPhone’s screen and then on the Bookmarks icon (the open book) at the bottom of the screen.
SITE-SPECIFIC DATA CLEARING
- You can do this by clicking on Safari > Preferences…
- Click the Privacy tab and Manage Website Data to manage your website data.
- There will be a list of websites that you can choose from. Click on the one you want to delete, and then click the Remove button. You can remove all website data from Safari by clicking the Remove All button.
FOR MICROSOFT EDGE

- In the upper right corner, click on the three dots.
- Go to the Settings menu and select Privacy, search, and services.
- Click on Clear browsing data at the bottom of the page and choose what to clear.
- If you want to clear cached images and files, make sure Cached images and files are checked (as well as any other data that you want to remove).

- It is possible to choose the last hour, the last 24 hours, the previous four weeks, or the entire time range with the Time range drop-down menu.
- Then click on the button that says Clear now.

- In the top right corner of the screen, click on the three dots.
- You can manage and delete cookies and site data using Settings > Cookies and site permissions.
- You can find all cookies and site data by scrolling down and clicking on View all cookies and site data.
- In the upper right corner of the screen, please search for the website’s name or scroll down the page to find it.
- By clicking on the “down” arrow next to the site’s name, you can delete the cookies and data stored on it by using the trash can icons.
- The buttons at the top allow you to remove all the cookies shown or remove third-party cookies.
FIREFOX

- In the upper right corner of the app, tap on the three lines and then click on Settings > Privacy & Security from the menu that appears.
- Click on Clear Data under the heading Cookies and Site Data, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page.

- It is necessary to check off the Cached Web Content box (which can also be checked off if you want to clear both the cookies and the site data as well) before you proceed.
- Click on the “Clear” button to complete the process.
SITE-SPECIFIC DATA CLEARING
You can clear a website by going to the following URL:

- The address bar has an icon lock; click on this icon to open the lock.
- Click on Clean up cookies and site data… On the pop-up box that appears, click Remove to remove the cookies and site data.
You can clear data from a particular site or sites if you wish to do so:

- To change the cookies and site data settings, go to Firefox > Preferences > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data. Select the Manage Data option from the drop-down menu.
- Using the search box at the top of the page, you can search for the site you want to clear or scroll down and find it.
- Select the site you want to remove and click on the Remove Selected button. It is also possible to remove all items simultaneously if you wish.
MOBILE

- In the bottom (it can also be found at the top depending on the browser) right-hand corner of the screen, tap on the three dots, and then select Settings > Privacy and security.
- Click on the Clear browsing data button.
- Check the box next to Cached images and files, and then use the drop-down menu to choose the time range in which you want to check the box.
