The website Reddit, which formerly used the slogan “The front page of the internet,” has a sizable and varied online community where users may express their ideas and participate in conversations. Yet given the wider demographics, you can run with someone who acts or says in an unpleasant way. It can be useful to know how to block or unblock someone on Reddit in situations like this.
When you block someone on Reddit, they can no longer read your profile, send you messages, or leave comments on your posts. They won’t be able to see what you’re doing anymore, in other words. On the other hand, when you unblock them, everything resumes as usual.
Step 1: Go to Reddit and sign in to your account.
Step 2: Click on the Search bar, type the username you want to block, and click on the user profile.
Step 3: In the user profile, on the right pane, click on More Options.
Step 4: Now, click the Block User option to block the user.
You’ve been successful in preventing the user from viewing your Reddit profile or content. You can accomplish the same tasks using the Reddit mobile app if you don’t have access to a Laptop. Continue to read.
If you want to undo the process here is how you can unblock an account on Reddit.
Step 1: Go to Reddit and sign in to your account.
Step 2: Click the downward pointing arrow icon next to your username in the top right corner.
Step 3: From the list of options, select the user Settings.
Step 4: Select Safety and Privacy. Under ‘People You’ve Blocked,’ you will see all the blocked profiles.
Step 5: Click the Remove button next to the blocked profile to unblock them.
You’ve now successfully unblocked the user from Reddit, allowing them to message you, locate you in search, and engage with your posts and comments.
