Here’s Your First Look at the Affordable Google Pixel 4a

One of the most interesting phones of 2018 was the Google Pixel 3a. It’s a sub-$300 device that features the best photo camera on an Android phone. Given its success, Pixel 4a will most likely be released this year. And while we expect the (assumed) Pixel 4a to be released at Google I/O 2020, @OnLeaks and @91mobiles have teamed up once again to deliver the full render of the device.

Google Pixel 4a 360-degree Render

The headlining feature of the Pixel 4a isn’t the camera. This time, it’s the design and the use of Soli radar. The latter feature is a sensor made to recognize gestures from a specific distance. Like the Pixel 4 series, it enables swipe to skip/return tracks, snooze alarms, and interact with a yellow creature named Pikachu. For the design, it’s going to adopt the square-camera module of the more powerful sibling but will only still use one rear camera. The same goes for the selfie camera, however, the notch is not going to be revived. Instead, there will be a pinhole on the top-left corner while the display gets stretched to all four corners.

For the rest of the specs, the display is said to be between 5.7″ and 5.8″ but with a smaller overall footprint. A capacitive fingerprint scanner is on the back while the USB-C port and speaker grilles are on the bottom. Chipset-wise, we could be seeing either the Snapdragon 730 or the more recent Snapdragon 765 with built-in 5G.
