Vlogger Rendon Labador is now facing investigation by the police’s Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG). The reason? He live-streamed a police raid on an online lending company in Makati City on October 20th.
This operation was conducted with a court-approved warrant and involved collaboration with the Philippine Anti-Organized Crime Commission.
The ACG has pointed out that it allowed media and vloggers, including Rendon Labador, access to the raid on the premises of Golden Koi Lending Co. Inc. The purpose of the raid was to apprehend 247 employees allegedly involved in harassing clients who failed to repay their loans on time.
During the operation, Labador documented the event on his Facebook Live video, with a caption “HULI KAYO!!!” (caught in the act.)
Some relatives of these employees felt that this implied their guilt, according to the ACG. As a result, the ACG advised the employees seen in Labador’s livestream to cover their faces.
It’s crucial to note that media, including vlogger Rendon, were allowed access only after the raid had been completed, as clarified by the ACG.

The ACG has also pledged to conduct a comprehensive investigation into any potential privacy violations by Labador. If any violations are confirmed, appropriate corrective actions will be taken.
Furthermore, the ACG emphasized that their partnership with Labador was unrelated to the raid operation and was solely focused on advocating for the rights of ordinary people.
