At its core is a Helio P10 or the Mediatek 6755 chip with an octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. This chip is an improvement from 6753 in terms of speed, power and power efficiency. More on the hardware, a 4GB RAM is paired with a 32GB internal memory and expandable using the hybrid dual-SIM tray of up to 200GB.
The P9000 also rocks a wireless charging and USB type-C port, which are still quite rare features in most smartphones today. Powering the device is a 3000mAh in-cell juice.
Catering the multimedia needs is a 13MP main Sony IMX258 sensor found in some mid-range Xiaomi and Sony Xperia devices. It shoots 1080p and is paired with an 8MP selfie snapper up front.
We had the chance in handling the Elephone P9000 running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and so far it’s a promising device with modest flagship features. More importantly, it is cheaper than most competition with close specs.
Lazada Philippines will start selling the Elephone P9000 together with the S1 and P8000 this April 18th for a Php 11,499 price.
