ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has launched the 2025 ASUS ROG Strix G16 and G18, along with a bunch of gaming laptops in the Philippines.
Both ROG laptops are equipped with gaming-ready specs, starting with an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU. It goes up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD.
They also incorporate ASUS’s Q-Latch system, which enables users to easily access the RAM, SSD, and fans by removing the back panel.
ASUS has also revamped the ROG Strix’s cooling system, consisting of an end-to-end vapor chamber with different layers for cooling. All of the exhaust vents have been relocated to the rear of the hinge, and the sides and bottom of the machine act as an air intake.
In terms of display, it is available in either a 16-inch or an 18-inch panel size with 2.5K resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, 500 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and ACR technology.
Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7802.11be (Triple band) and 2*2+Bluetooth 5.4 Wireless Card.
I/O ports include 1x 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack, 1x HDMI 2.1 FRL, 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (data speed up to 10Gbps), 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with support for DisplayPort / power delivery / G-SYNC (data speed up to 10Gbps), 1x RJ45 LAN port, and 1x Thunderbolt 4 with support for DisplayPort / power delivery (data speed up to 40Gbps).
Other specs: Windows 11 Home OS, Backlit Chiclet Keyboard Per-Key RGB, 1080P FHD IR Camera for Windows Hello, 2-speaker system with Smart Amplifier Technology, and 90WHrs battery.
The 2025 ASUS ROG Strix G16 and G18 are now available at ASUS and ROG stores nationwide. Units come with a free ROG Strix Impact Mouse, ROG Backpack, a 3-month PC Game Pass, and an ASUS warranty.
