Users of Facebook who are under the legal age in their countries will get a reminder on November 21, 2022, to change these settings:

Users under the age of majority in their countries who log into Facebook beginning on November 21, 2022, will receive a notification prompting them to adjust one of the following settings:

  • Who can see their friends list?
  • The people who can view the people, lists, and pages they follow
  • Who can see posts they’re tagged in on their profile
  • Reviewing posts that tag them before the post appears on their profiles
  • Who may comment on their public postsPrivacy Settings

Teens will see a popup window that suggests activating Meta’s new privacy options. This popup will only appear once. In the meantime, these settings will be pre-selected for any new users who sign up.

If an adult contacts them, the app will inquire whether they are familiar with the individual in question. In addition, Facebook will describe the functionality of each option.

Teenagers can perform individual actions by tapping the Restrict, Report, and Block buttons. Additionally, Facebook reassures the young user that the other user will not be aware of their behavior.

Surprisingly, artificial intelligence has been used to keep kids from being sexually exploited.

The Kodomamo project deletes naked pictures from children’s phones by figuring out what body parts are in the photos.

The co-founder of Smartbooks, Naoto Tomita, wants to give the app away for free by the end of 2022.
