
Yesterday, Xiaomi has officially announced that they will be launching the Xiaomi Mi 8 Anniversary flagship on May 31. The company also stated that they will be launching other devices during the event as well including the the Mi Max 3 and Mi Band 3. Today, a leaked photo was spotted online showing Mi 8’s front and back.
The image was seen on a Weibo post. The Mi 8’s front sports a notch according to the leak. It also looks like the device will have thin bezels. What was surprising was the device’s back panel. It showed that the upcoming smartphone might feature a transparent glass back panel showing its inner parts.
The Mi 8 might be powered by a Snapdragon chipset based on the Qualcomm’s logo seen on it. Additionally, the photo shows that the Mi 8 will have dual rear cameras positioned vertically. Do note that the company hasn’t confirmed if this leak is accurate so the mentioned information might be false.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is expected to feature a 6.01″ OLED display with 3D facial recognition. Rumors state that the smartphone might sport an under-display fingerprint scanner. The Mi 8 might also be powered by the Snapdragon 845 and fueled by a 4,000mAh battery.
