Are you planning to buy OnePlus 2? Well, we got top five reasons you should read before buying the OnePlus’ 2016 Flagship Killer.
We concluded in our review that the OnePlus 2 is a true flagship smartphone with an aggressive pricing of $389 for its 64GB model with 4Gigs of RAM. We did like its solid build and speedy performance, but it still got few cons that would make you step back in buying it. Checkout our list below.
Although the OnePlus 2 has loud and powerful speakers, we found that the quality is not rich as the other flagships. The sound output is tinny, OnePlus did miss to balance the audio on the OnePlus 2 speaker.
In spite of having removable back and thicker profile, you wouldn’t get the flexibility removable battery in OnePlus 2. In short, it is not user-replaceable, unlike LG G4 which has removable battery.
We don’t have problems with 1080p displays in smartphones, but if the device carries “Flagship Killer” title, then it’s another story. We didn’t like on how OnePlus marketed the Two as a flagship killer while missing the QHD screen resolution. If they really want to shake the flagship category then they should have opted for the best.
With 3300mAh battery juice, we were surprised that OnePlus 2 only produced an average battery life. The 1080p screen res and efficient Snapdragon 810 didn’t propel the phone on top our battery chart. You can check on our review (link down below) that OnePlus 2 is not the swiss-knife in high-end smartphones.
Sure you got magnesium alloy and Sandstone back cover, but these are not enough to make a phone standout. OnePlus 2 is solidly built, but poorly designed. Its face is flat and the metal accent doesn’t attract. You will only know the phone is flagship once you get hold of it.
If you agree with our list then you would probably settle for the alternatives. Some of the few options in the market right now include Motorola Nexus 6, LG G4, Sony Xperia Z3+ and Samsung Galaxy S6. If you would look the online market here in the Philippines, some grey markets sell at lesser price compared to what the retail partners offer in malls.

The reason it’s a flagship killer is because it costs just a fraction of the prices of the flagships
