Supreme Court Directs NBI to Investigate Online Marriage Annulment Scam

The Supreme Court has urged the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to conduct an investigation into various social media platforms promoting deceptive “no hearing, no appearance” annulment services.

One specific Facebook page, named “Annulment Process and Nullity of Marriage,” caught the attention of the Supreme Court, prompting them to request an investigation to uncover the individuals responsible.

The Office of the Court Administrator, in a letter to the NBI, expressed concern about the fraudulent claim made by the mentioned page.

The Court Administrator stated that this claim is misleading and appears designed to entice individuals into paying unwarranted fees for non-standard services.

The Supreme Court has emphasized the necessity of identifying those accountable for this service to ensure they are held accountable before the law.
