According to a Chinese news site, the next Sony flagship smartphone will be called Xperia XZ Pro and it will reportedly be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona. It was actually reported to be launched at the CES 2018 but obviously, that did not happen.
If the reports are true, then the Xperia XZ Pro will come with a 5.7-inch OLED touchscreen with 4K resolution, slim bezels, and a ‘tall’ aspect ratio (possibly 18:9). It will be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 845, coupled with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of built-in storage.
It is expected to have a dual camera setup consisting of a 18MP shooter and a 12MP camera. The front-facing camera is 13MP, but there ‘s still no information regarding its aperture yet. We’ll surely update you if we get any more information about this.
Also, it is reported that it will be IP68 water and dust resistant, and will pack a 3,420 mAh battery. The Xperia XZ Pro is expected to carry a price tag of CNY 6,000, which currently translates to $931
