As promised, Sony took the initiative and brought back the beloved STAMINA Mode on its recent updates. The update was removed when Xperia phones updated over to Marshmallow and started to use Google’s Doze mode. This made the majority of Sony’s market agitated and claimed that STAMINA mode was relatively better.

On a recent firmware update, which is currently live in Japan, the STAMINA mode finally made its way to Xperia premises, namely the Japanese Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium. The Xperia Z4 also entered the playing field as it was given the Marshmallow update, as well as the returning STAMINA mode.
Since the STAMINA has finally made its way to real-life Xperia phones in Japan, we should expect the firmware update to hit up globally sometime this year. What do you guys think of the STAMINA mode’s return? We’d love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

I’d love to compare the Stamina mode of Sony with the Doze feature of Google. But sadly… My phone, Note5 N9208 Duos… Still doesn’t have the Marshmallow update! Haha. I want the Doze feature so bad already. As for the Stamina mode of Sony. I would rate it 9/10. Near perfect. I love it with my Xperia Z Ultra. Very useful feature. Helps me last the rest of the day with no worries.
