Samsung still has a few interesting flagships set to be unveiled this year, particularly the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. However, it been a while since we’ve seen a Note edge, will this year be the year, when Samsung re-enters the Note edge in the market? A possible August 2015 patent suggest it could be.

The patent was filed back on August 2015, this was the time that the Galaxy Note 5 was announced. Samsung’s main problem is that they have to purposely offer the Note edge without the S-pen. Which means, users would only get one feature each, either the S-pen of the original one or the edged one. However, as seen in the patent, we can assume that Samsung is at least working on how they can use the S-pen in a curved edge Note phone, which will give the users a typical standard Stylus pen experience.
Samsung is set to introduce 2 possible type of models for the Note series, with one of these featuring an edge screen with S-pen support. Right now, we can’t confirm that the patent should deliver any possible hint of this technology, though we can’t hide the fact that the curved edge screen of Samsung has been receiving a lot of love lately, which was seen on the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
What do you guys think about this patent? Will Samsung release a new Note edge phone, in accordance with the Galaxy Note 6? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
