There was quite a buzz on the internet about Samsung launching a new high-end flip phone, and it’s no longer a rumor. Samsung officially launched the SM-G9298 or the Leader 8 which houses two 4.2″ Full HD Super AMOLED displays and runs with a Snapdragon 821 processor, same as the LG G6. It also has 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via the hybrid sim card slot.

On the back, you’ll see a 12MP f/1.7 camera that’s able to capture UHD 4K videos at 30 fps. And because it’s 2017, you’ll also get a 5MP front-facing camera with flash. At 15.9mm thick and weighing 235g, the device is made from 6013 high-grade aluminum alloy that’s powered by a 2,300mAh battery that supports wireless charging. Other features include Samsung pay, S Voice, and Private Security Folder.
Exclusively available on China Mobile in black only, it’s highly unlikely for an international or a Philippine release due to the lack of demand on flip phones. The release date and price have not yet been announced, but we’re expecting it to be a bit pricey hovering at $600 or Php 30,000 minimum.
