
Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi earlier unveiled its latest smartphone under the K50-series in China, the Redmi K50 Gaming/K50G.
The smartphone features a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, it comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
For photography, it equips a triple rear camera configuration consisting of a 64MP Sony IMX686 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 2MP telemacro camera. Upfront is a 20MP Sony IMX596 selfie camera.
The Redmi K50 Gaming also boasts a pair of physical game triggers on the right-hand side, Xiaomi’s CyberEngine x-axis haptics motor, as well as a metallic frame and an AG Glass finish on the back. To keep the heat in check, it comes with an all-new dual stainless steel vapor chamber and large-area graphite, covering a 4,860mm² total area.
Redmi also announced its partnership with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team for the special limited edition Redmi K50 Gaming. This incorporates the racing team’s badge and colors. In addition, the limited edition Redmi K50 comes with a 120W GaN charger in the box.

The Mercedes edition is limited to only 10,000 units. The Redmi K50 Gaming will be available in China starting February 18.
