By listing the Hot 12 Play on their official store on Lazada, Infinix Philippines announces its price before any publicity.
Here’s what the Infinix Hot 12 Play offers, a device released in May in India.
As with its cousins, the Hot 12 Play tries to impress by providing a full display to compete with its competitors. A 6.82-inch production, 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling make it fast and responsive. Nevertheless, since it is still a smartphone under ₱5,000, it only has an HD+ display.
It’s a good idea for this device to have a low-resolution screen. Consequently, it does not need to work as hard as an FHD display, primarily since it only uses an octa-core UNISOC T610 processor at 1.7GHz.
4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage are available to accompany the chipset, making it an acceptable package. There is always the option of adding a microSD card for expansion if you want more storage space.
With the help of its large size, Infinix has managed to fit a substantial 6,000mAh battery that charges via USB Type-C and can be charged using the included 10W adapter. On top of that, it is also powered by the last generation of the Android 11 operating system.
A decent 13-megapixel sensor is used in the primary lens, while an artificial intelligence lens is used in the second. The latter might not attract your attention, but it’s there, at least for stylistic reasons.
It also featured dual-cameras on the back of the Hot 12 Play.
The 8-megapixel selfie camera is housed in a punch-hole on the screen.
