Nokia 6.1 Plus hide notch feature removed in August security update

Nokia has released a new update with Android Security Patch for Nokia 6.1 Plus also known as Nokia X6 in China. With the earlier releases, the phone has a hide notch feature but was removed in this update.

Just like other smartphones with a notch, manufacturer’s learned that not all people can deal with notch thus adding the “hide notch’ feature. However, it wasn’t stated why Nokia removed this option.

For the quick recap, the Nokia 6.1 features a 5.5″ FHD display and a fingerprint scanner located at the back. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 630 along with 4GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64GB. Furthermore, it is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone sports a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It is priced at PHP 15, 990.
