The upcoming HUAWEI Mate 70 series could soon offer an advanced ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, according to a leak from tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo.
This technology, also seen in the newly released OnePlus 13, is expected to enhance security features on HUAWEI’s flagship lineup.
In addition to the potential scanner upgrade, rumors indicate the Mate 70 may support dual operating systems, with HarmonyOS Next as the primary OS and an Android-compatible secondary option.
This could allow HUAWEI to continue offering Android functionality while focusing on its HarmonyOS platform.
Smart Pikachu also suggests that more Ultra flagship models, from brands like OPPO, Xiaomi, Samsung, and vivo, may also include Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensors in their next-generation models.
HUAWEI has yet to confirm any specifications. Stay tuned for updates as more information emerges about the Mate 70 series.
