For camera specs, it seems the Lumia 950 XL has the edge on paper, thanks to its 20MP/5MP Pureview sensor pairing. However, the Nexus 6p had received a lot of praise back in 2015 and its 12.3MP/8MP camera pairing is surely not to be underestimated with.
For quality and detail preservation, it seems that the Lumia 950 Xl and Nexus 6P showed a fairly consistent outcome, with the 950 XL showing off livelier colors, while the Nexus 6P showing off accurate colors.

The 950 XL showed off more saturated outputs while the Nexus 6P delivered good white balance. 950 XL’s rich mode HDR still tops up the Nexus 6P’s HDR mode, hands down.
For night outputs, the 950 XL shows off better and livelier colors compared to the Nexus 6P. However, like on its daylight outputs, the Nexus 6p delivered accurate colors on its outputs than its opponent. 950 XL’s night output felt rather oversaturated.
The Nexus 6P packs a bigger 8MP selfie shooter while the 950 XL has a smaller 5MP selfie shooter. Outputs show that the Nexus 6P is brighter and livelier while the 950 XL’s outputs were really accurate.
Video outputs were somehow quite similar in quality, with the Nexus 6p edging out in white balance and the 950XL taking a livelier approach.
Overall, both shooters showed they have different fields of advantage with one another. The Nexus 6P showing off better color accuracy, while the 950 XL was seen to be better in color saturation and white balance. Hopefully, we see a few improvements on future Microsoft camera phones and how they perform against top-notch competitors.
