LG Ray is Official; LG’s 5.5-incher Budget Phone Takes the Stage

The LG Ray X90 is quite a very peculiar addition to LG’s line of smartphones, since it primarily aims to be a 5.5-inch budget phone, with that, lets check out the LG Ray’s specs, features and possible price to find out whether the device is worth our attention.

Design of the LG Ray, primarily seemed to take a few inspirations from a few other LG devices, such as the G4. The LG Ray has brushed aluminum back, though it can be noted that it isn’t exactly aluminum, but polycarbonate. The latter has 3000mAh battery capacity, which isn’t that bad for a budget-wise 5.5-incher.

However, once you get further and further on the Ray’s specs, you’ll immediately get, why is the LG Ray a budget phone. For starters, it only has 720p display resolution and apparently theres no LTE supporting capability, found on the LG Ray, just a seemingly okay 3G support feature and finally, the said 3000mAh battery capacity, well, it was said to be able to hold itself for 10 hours of talk time, which is a bit weak to be honest.

Despite a few seen minorities on the LG Ray, it isn’ actually something to be surprised about. LG did say that this is a budget phone and why would you expect anything amazing from a budget phone, to be honest, the Ray isn’t that bad, its not bad at all, considering its a budget phone. Okay, we got a bit side tracked there, lets get back to the specs, The LG Ray runs an Android 5.1 Lollipop, which is still actually very standard, despite the massive popularity, that the Marshmallow version is enjoying, right now. Anyways, the LG Ray packs a MediaTek 6592M chip, though this is yet to be the final chip type that might feature the LG Ray.
