A new patent suggests Apple might be bringing its illuminated logo from Macbook to future iPhones. Nearly three weeks after the iPhone 11 Series announcement, it seems like iPhone 12 is starting to steal its thunder already.
According to the patent, the LED-illuminated Apple logo can change behavior and look depending on the incoming and present notification. It’s a lot more dynamic compared to the logo of MacBooks.
Interestingly, Android phones with illuminated logos are tainted with gaming features. Could we possibly see the same thing from Apple? Maybe. Maybe not. The company’s A13 Bionic is currently the most powerful smartphone chipset. Apple can easily make a gaming brand but it feels like it’s out of what the brand is known for.
That said, it’s still early to tell since a patent is not a finalized feature. Sometimes, manufacturers want to reserve ideas that may or may not end up in the final design. For now, the next group of iPhones is rumored to be inspired by the iPhone 4 — a boxy shaped phone with rounded corners and flat glass panels.
