ICYMI, HUAWEI recently announced in a Facebook post that the HUAWEI Mate X6 will launch in the Philippines in January 2025.
According to the Facebook post, the HUAWEI Mate X6 will deliver the ultimate foldable experience in photography and innovation.
To recap, the HUAWEI Mate X6 is the brand’s latest premium foldable smartphone featuring a 7.93-inch flexible OLED LTPO internal panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1800 nits of peak brightness.
The external display is a 6.45-inch 3D quad-curved OLED LTPO with 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 2500 nits of peak brightness.
The device’s build uses a basalt architecture, which improves heat dissipation, reliability, and signal strength. Second-generation basalt tempered Kunlun glass, an inner screen support layer made of carbon fiber, an aluminum body frame with a super-strong wing, a novel basalt water drop hinge, and graphene material with extremely high thermal conductivity are all used in its design.
The brand did not mention the exact processor used in the device, but it is equipped with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
For battery, it packs a 5,110mAh battery capacity with 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
Camera-wise, it boasts a 50MP variable aperture main camera (F1.4-F4.0) with OIS, a 40MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 48MP periscope telephoto lens with OIS, 4x optical zoom, and up to 100x digital zoom. The camera incorporates the Ultra Chroma technology, which uses 1.50 million spectral channels to boost color accuracy.
The internal and external displays both feature 8MP selfie cameras.
Other specs include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IPX8 splash resistant, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, and EMUI 15 (Global) for the OS.
