HUAWEI is gearing up to launch its first Nova-branded flip phone, the HUAWEI Nova Flip, on August 6 in China. It has released a teaser video showcasing the Nova Flip’s design.
In the teaser, the brand reveals the HUAWEI Nova Flip’s stylish green edition. The foldable phone has a punch-hole design on the main screen, a volume rocker, and a power key with a fingerprint sensor on the right side. The top edge features a microphone, while the bottom edge includes a SIM slot, another microphone, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille. The back panel has a rectangle module housing a vertical dual-camera setup and a square-shaped secondary screen.
Specs for the Nova Flip haven’t been officially announced, but leaks suggest it will be powered by a Kirin 5G chip and support 66W fast charging. The phone is expected to have a 6.9-inch main display and a smaller 2.1-inch cover screen. Camera-wise, it might feature a 50-megapixel main sensor with an additional sensor for depth or ultrawide shots.
The Nova Flip is positioned as a more affordable option in the foldable market, with an expected price around CNY4,999 (approximately PHP40,499). While it may use lower-cost materials, this trade-off is likely balanced by its competitive pricing, making it an attractive choice for budget-conscious users.
