Huawei MediaPad M5 with Kirin 960, 4GB RAM & Android 8.0, spotted on Geekbench

Huawei is expected to launch the successor to the MediaPad M3 which was released in 2016. The upgraded tablet will be called the MediaPad M5 and it has recently received certification from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which means that Huawei intends to launch the device in the U.S. Now, it has been spotted on Geekbench and it pulls an impressive result.

It appeared on Geekbench with the model number Huawei SHT-AL09. The listing also revealed that it will come with Kirin 960 chipset and will run on an Android 8.0 Oreo and will be coupled with 4GB of RAM. The MediaPad M5 got a score of 6617 on the multicore test and a single core test score of 1905 points.

The MediaPad M5 will feature an 8.4-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels just like its predecessor. It will also feature a fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, stereo speakers, and Cat. 4 LTE modem.

However, there’s still no information when the MediaPad M5 will be released. Some expected it to be released during the MWC 2018.
