Honor officially launched its Honor 20 Lite last month in Russia. And because the month of May is for the Honor 20 & 20 Pro, the arrival of 20 Lite in Europe was overshadowed. That said, the affordable phone is starting to spread out to other countries, and here’s what you need to know.

The Honor 20 Lite sports a similar build to other affordable phones — out of polycarbonate material with a glass-like finish. However, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is used for biometric. Up front reveals a 6.21″ teardrop notch FHD+ IPS LCD display. Also, a headphone jack is present (because apparently, it’s a “feature” for budget consumers), right beside the microUSB port.
Commanding the Honor 20 Lite is a Kirin 710 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and expandable 128GB storage. Huawei’s EMUI 9 runs on this device, instead of the Magic 2.1 used by the latest Honor devices. Unlike its competitors, this one settles for a 10W charging for its 3400mAH battery.
As for the cameras, a triple camera setup is found on the back — a 24MP f1.8 main lens, 8MP f2.2 ultra wide lens, and 2MP f2.2 depth sensor. While selfies will come from a 32MP f2.0 lens.
Huawei, or rather Honor, is well-known for its aggressive mid-range phones. But this year, the Honor 20 Lite is priced at €300 ~P17.5k, which is inferior in specs when compared to the likes of OPPO, Realme, and Redmi. Now that the device is available in Europe, we can expect other countries, including the Philippines to get its share in the upcoming weeks.
