Halloween Movies on Netflix This 2022

Even though Halloween is a time for spooky stories, a good Halloween movie does not necessarily have to be scary. The following list of Halloween-themed films on Netflix ranges from incredibly horrific films to those that are more subtly spooky.

Crimson Peak

Crimson Peak by Guillermo del Toro emulates classic gothic literature. Crimson Peak stars Mia Wasikowska as a 19th-century heiress who marries a handsome British baronet inspired by Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights and Alfred Hitchcock’s Rebecca (Tom Hiddleston).

He takes her to his dilapidated house, where she meets his vicious sister (Jessica Chastain) and learns terrible family secrets. Secret tunnels, eerie parlors, and fatal romance fill the film.

His House

His House stars Wunmi Mosaku and Sope Dirisu as South Sudanese refugees living in a rundown row house in Britain. Strange noises and apparitions add to the challenges of starting over in a hostile location.

The eerie presence links into secrets the couple brought from their home country, and the movie combines great scares with a profound analysis of guilt and pain.

Hush

Hush depicts Kate Siegel as a deaf novelist living alone in a secluded cottage, and a murderous intruder forces her to defend herself.

Flanagan uses sound design to tell a familiar home-invasion scenario, highlighting the main character’s strengths. Flanagan maintains suspense in one area, and Siegel offers the main character inner power and ingenuity.

Gerald’s Game

Jessie is shackled to a bed in an isolated lake cabin when her husband’s bed game goes awry. She is confronted with distorted images, terrible secrets, and a difficult choice.

She will need to maintain more than just her sanity to break free successfully. The Stephen King adaptation of Gerald’s Game is available to watch online exclusively on Netflix.

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone

A young man and an elderly billionaire form a friendship over their shared love of reading and their first iPhones. However, they continue to share a strange connection even after the elderly man has passed away.

Is it possible for you to talk to your friend who has passed away?

Monster House

The claims made by three children, namely Mitchell Musso, Spencer Locke, and Sam Lerner, that a house next door is inhabited by a monster that wants to hurt them are not taken seriously by any adults.

Because Halloween is drawing near, the three individuals need to devise a strategy for bringing down the structure so that harmless trick-or-treaters won’t be killed.

Case 39

Emily Jenkins (Renée Zellweger) thinks she has seen everything in her many years as a social worker until she meets 10-year-old Lilith (Jodelle Ferland) and the girl’s cruel parents. When Lilith’s parents try to hurt her, Emily takes her in and looks for a foster family for her.

She soon finds out, though, that dark forces are all around the child, who seems to be innocent. The more she tries to protect Lilith, the scarier things get.
