Google Pixel Fold pre-order, shipping June 2023

Google has finally unveiled its very own foldable smartphone called the Google Pixel Fold.

Announced during Google’s I/O 2023 developer conference, the Pixel Fold smartphone presents a 7.6-inch OLED primary display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, along with a secondary 5.8-inch OLED cover display, also featuring a 120 Hz refresh rate. These displays eak brightness goes up to 1,550 nits and 1,450 nits, respectively.

Under the hood, the Pixel Fold is equipped with Google’s in-house Tensor G2 chip, accompanied by the Titan M2 security co-processor. They also have 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a choice of 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

In terms of cameras, the Pixel Fold has a 48 MP primary camera, with a 10.8 MP ultrawide lens and a 10.8 MP optical zoom telephoto lens. Additionally, a 9.5 MP fixed-focus camera is situated on the cover display, while an 8 MP shooter is positioned on the inner display.

Powering the Pixel Fold is a 4,812 mAh battery, which supports 30W wired charging. The device features a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, and it boasts an IPX8 water resistance rating.

The Pixel Fold supports a “tabletop” mode, allowing users to utilize one half of the display as a base while utilizing the other half for content consumption. It also incorporates several camera features from the Pixel 7 Pro, including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Night Sight.

Pre-orders for the Pixel Fold have already commenced in the United States at a price of USD $1,799.
