In addition to the Google Pixel 9 series smartphones, Google has also released the Pixel Buds Pro 2.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 feature a new twist-to-adjust stabilizer for improved comfort and are 27% smaller and 25% lighter than their predecessor.
They are equipped with Google’s Tensor A1 chip for enhanced audio performance, including spatial audio and head tracking. The earbuds use custom 11mm drivers for deeper bass and clearer treble, and they come with upgraded Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) using Silent Seal 2.0.
Additional features include the Gemini AI assistant, Clear Calling for improved call clarity, Conversation Detection for automatic ANC adjustments, and a customizable 5-band EQ. The earbuds are IP54 rated for water and sweat resistance, and the case is IPX4 rated. They offer up to 8 hours of battery life with ANC on, and the case extends this to 30 hours. A quick 15-minute charge provides 3 hours of listening time. The earbuds are compatible with both USB-C and Qi wireless charging.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are smaller, lighter, and offer enhanced noise cancellation, which is claimed to be twice as effective as the previous model, along with improved sound quality due to the Tensor A1 chip.
Pre-orders for the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are now open, with an official release date set for September 26. The earbuds are priced at $229 (approximately PHP 13,000).
