Google has introduced its latest smartphone under the Pixel series at its Google I/O event, the Google Pixel 6a. It sports a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The smartphone has a 3D thermoformed composite back cover. It also uses a 12.2MP dual-pixel main sensor and a 12MP Sony IMX386 ultra-wide shooter. Upfront is an 8MP Sony IMX355 selfie camera.
Under the hood, it is equipped with the Google Tensor SoC with support for 5G SA/NSA and comes with the Titan M2 Security chip. It is paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,410mAh battery with 18W charging. In addition, it boots Android 12, and will receive security updates for at least 5 years, while 3 years for OS updates.
The Google Pixel 6a is priced at USD 449 (~PHP 23,549) and will be available online starting July 21 and in stores on July 28. It will be available in American, European markets and in Southeast Asia but only in Taiwan and Singapore.
