The Office 2016 has a guise and sense that is more acquainted with the versions of Office currently available on Windows and mobile. It has redesigned versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote and Outlook for Mac users.

Features included in the software update are support for Retina displays and iCloud syncing which are the highpoints of this updated Office for Mac. It also includes support for OneDrive, OneDrive for Business and SharePoint for cross-platform document syncing. Also the redesigned Ribbon that can provide easier access to tools and formatting for anyone switching from Office for Windows, or who are more used to that software is a big plus.
For those still uncertain to shift entirely with the pre-release software, it can also be installed and used directly together with Office for Mac 2011. The public preview will remain freely available to download until the final launch and will be updated on a rolling basis that comprises an auto-update feature.
Office 2016 For Mac will be included in the price of an Office 365 subscription, when it starts to ship as consumer software.
