Disney+ Cracks Down on Password-Sharing, Raises Prices

It looks like Netflix won’t be the only streaming service to stop people from sharing their passwords.

Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed what many people had already thought for a long time Disney+ will soon start its own crackdown on sharing passwords.

Oh, and not only that but Disney+ will be raising their prices soon.

CEO Iger said that Disney+ would start to enforce rules against sharing passwords in 2024.

Disney is looking into ways to deal with account sharing and the best ways for paying users to share their accounts with friends and family.

Iger didn’t say much more about Disney+’s plans to stop people from sharing passwords, but it sounds like users who want to share their accounts with other people may have to pay extra, like Netflix does.

The Streamable says that new price for Disney+ will start on October 12.

Expect the price of Disney+ Premium to go up by an eye-popping $3 (PHP150) a month, taking the total for ad-free Disney+ to $13.99/month.

Stay tuned for more updates.
