Google is getting ready to bring ad blocking to the Chrome browser. Starting February 15, Google will be blocking ads from sites that use intrusive advertising.
Google is a company that makes money majority on advertising, however, the company wants to make sure that users can have a pleasant experience without those overly annoying ads.
If you have been using google chrome as your browser, you’ve surely encountered these annoying ads. These ads are full-page ads that would suddenly pop out, ads that flash, or ads that would suddenly play a video or audio.
As Google will start blocking ads from websites when using Chrome, there are some ads that won’t get deleted. In order to not get blocked by Google, it has to pass Google’s Better Ads Standards. Admins of websites can use Google’s Ad Experience Report to identify which ads don’t comply with their standards.
This strategy by Google can help Chrome users to have better surfing experiences, and also encourage websites to serve more acceptable ads for everyone.
