
Apple has launched the Apple Vision Pro in Asia, including China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore.
The brand also plans to release the device in the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and Canada, starting July 12, 2024.
To recap, the Apple Vision Pro allows users to interact immersively with task-based, work, and leisure apps. It technically blends digital content with the real world while the wearer still being aware of the physical space around them.
Technical specs include a dual high-resolution micro-OLED display with up to 100Hz refresh rate, 23 million pixels across both displays, 92% DCI‑P3, 7.5‑micron pixel pitch, and support multiples of 24fps and 30fps for judder‑free video.
Powering the Vision Pro is Apple’s custom Silicon chip with an 8‑core CPU with 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, a 10‑core GPU, a 16‑core Neural Engine, and 16GB unified memory. Another chip with 12‑millisecond photon‑to‑photon latency and 256GB/s memory bandwidth accompanies it.
Additionally, It will run on Apple’s spatial operating system visionOS.
In terms of audio, it supports Dolby Atmos, lossless audio, Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, personalized Spatial Audio and audio ray tracing, and a six‑mic array with directional beamforming.
