
Apple has officially launched the new Thunderbolt 5 Pro ports and is now available for purchase in the Philippines.
This new cable from Apple sports a braided design that coils without tangling. It comes in a length of one meter.
The new cable can support data transfers of up to 120Gb/s, previous Thunderbolt cables, USB 4 data transfer up to 80Gb/s, USB 3 data transfer up to 10Gb/s, DisplayPort 2.1 video output, and charging up to 240W.
The new M4 Pro and M4 Max-powered MacBook Pros have built-in Type-C Thunderbolt 5 Pro ports. Users can utilize this port to connect a Mac with Thunderbolt (USB-C) ports to Thunderbolt (USB-C) and USB displays and devices such as Studio Display, Pro Display XDR, docks, and external drives.
Users can also daisy-chain up to six Thunderbolt (USB-C) devices.
The new Thunderbolt 5 Pro cable (1 meter) is priced at PHP 3,990 and is now listed via Apple’s official online store.
