
Almost six years after the first model, Apple’s Beats brand launches a new TWS, the Powerbeats Pro 2.
The new earbuds feature heart rate monitoring, active noise cancellation (ANC), transparency mode, and adaptive equalization for a better listening experience.
It also has improved ear hooks made of nickel-titanium alloy for a secure fit and 20% lighter than the previous model and comes with five different ear tip sizes. The earbuds are IPX4-rated, making them resistant to sweat and water.
For audio quality, the Powerbeats Pro 2 has a redesigned acoustic structure, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, and improved microphones for better call clarity.
Under the hood, the earbuds are powered by Apple’s H2 chip, enhancing performance and battery efficiency.
Connectivity is handled by Class 1 Bluetooth. While controls include volume and multi-function buttons on each earbud, along with voice assistant support.
Each earbud offers up to 10 hours of playtime, with a total of 45 hours when using the charging case. A 5-minute Fast Fuel charge provides 1.5 hours of playback. The case is 33% smaller than before and supports wireless charging.
Apple Powerbeats Pro 2 is now available in the Philippines. Released on February 11, 2025, the wireless earbuds are priced at PHP 14,990.
