The OnePlus 11 is the latest at the top of OnePlus’ devices for consumer electronics which had its global release last February 16, 2023. Some notable features of this phone are its 1440×3216 pixels screen, 50MP camera, and 8-16GB RAM Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Here are some tips and tricks to make the most of your OnePlus 11 experience:
BATTERY MAXIMUM CAPACITY
One thing that we usually bypass is the overall health of our phone’s battery aside from its current charge before you’d eventually need to recharge once again. Luckily, you can see your phone’s battery health and its maximum capacity in the battery settings. With this, you can also keep track if you’ll need to have it replaced.
WISE CHARGING SETTING
We sometimes leave our phones charging throughout the day or night by accident or unintentionally. OnePlus added a wise charging setting that can change how or when you charge. It mostly fast charges to 80% battery then adjusts or slows down from 80 – 100% depending on when you start using your phone again. This is also located within the battery settings.
CUSTOMIZE DARK MODE
In most apps nowadays, they feature a dark mode to cater to those who would want to avoid the all-white aesthetic or have sensitive eyes. The OnePlus 11 is no stranger to that feature. This mode is located in the “Display & brightness” settings which you would be able to see right away.
You can also customize the time schedule when you would want the light mode and dark mode within a day which is a good addition. Aside from that, you can also further customize the dark mode with different color tones and contrasts.
ONEPLUS 11’S SHELF FEATURE
We usually prefer and use phones that have ease of access and can display their apps along with the interface efficiently. This phone has just the right thing for that which is the Shelf feature within its OxygenOS. Imagine a bag organizer with your important things organized and segregated properly, that’s what this feature does.
You’ll be able to check on the weather, some of your notes, selected widgets, and more. Instead of having everything scattered on the homepage, it will be properly aligned with the shelf. To be able to customize this, you can go to the “Home screen & Lock screen” in your settings, then click on the “Swipe down on Home Screen”. From there you’ll be able to access the shelf feature.
HIDE YOUR APPS
Ever wanted to hide apps or games to avoid your child or younger sibling from accessing them? Then here’s a cool feature for you. You can now hide specific applications instead of looking for a third-party app or locking a folder with your password. To make use of this, just tap on “Privacy” in your settings then go to the Privacy tabs where you’ll find the Hide apps feature.
ONE-HANDED MODE
Unavoidably, we may need to use our phones with one hand or prefer that in general. With a huge display, this may be difficult, so here’s a little trick to help with that.
The OnePlus 11 has a one-handed mode that makes everything accessible in a specific area of the phone to be able to do things, as you guessed it, one-handed. You can check this out through the “Additional Settings”, then go to the One-handed mode and toggle it on.
HAPTICS AND TONES
Haptic feedback has gone a long way from controllers, phones, and other devices to help simulate a more realistic feeling of interactiveness. Safe to say, this is included in one of the features this phone has stored for you.

One cool feature the OnePlus 11 has would be the RAM expansion. Take note that when using this, it’s only suggested if you have enough free storage space to allocate resources such as RAM power.
With the right circumstances, you’ll be able to increase your RAM ranging from 4GB, 8GB, and 12 GB respectively. That would be aside from your choice of RAM hardware which is either 8GB or 16GB RAM.
You can make this possible by going through the “About device” in the settings that’ll show you your RAM which you may tap and toggle the RAM expansion.
SMART SIDEBAR
This has been a new feature in most of the latest phones, and the OnePlus 11 does not fall behind in this regard. The smart sidebar is a sidebar that houses your frequently used or favorite apps for ease of access. This comes in handy when you have a lot of apps installed. You wouldn’t need to scroll through the dozen apps you have on your phone. This is customizable and can be enabled through the “Special features” in the settings where you will find the Smart Sidebar options.
QUICK LAUNCH APPS
Another feature aside from the smart sidebar would be the quick launch that will enable you to start up your selected apps as soon as you unlock your phone. A quick menu will pop up as soon as you unlock your phone which can be edited and customized with your specific apps through the “Special features” in the settings, then tapping the Quick Launch to see and toggle it on as you select the apps you would want to see within the quick menu.
POWER BUTTON
We normally use the power button to turn off or restart our phones when held. By default in the OnePlus 11, it’s set to Voice Assistant. You can change this in the Power Menu by going to “Additional Settings” and tapping on the “Power Button”. You will then be able to select what the function of holding the power button would do.
