At this price point, smartphones are usually tagged as an upper midrange or lower flagship. For brands like realme, Xiaomi, and Poco. They usually offer their best of the best smartphones at this point, while brands like Samsung only offer upper mid-range devices. It still depends on the brand name and how popular the brand is globally.
As of now, there are only two devices on this price tag since we just hit the middle of the year. The devices that are on this list were also on the list of the 20K to 25K but it’s a different config or a different model.
Just like I mentioned on the 5 Smartphones worth P20k-25k in the Philippines (1H 2023), Samsung Galaxy A54 5G may not be a powerful smartphone at this price point, still it is a good option when it comes to the ecosystem. Having an OneUI OS is more of an exclusive experience, it has better customization, and stronger security than others. Its overall design looks closely similar to their flagship Galaxy S23 Series which is an amazing experience to have especially if you want to experience that kind of smartphone. In terms of other specs, it still carries the same 6.4″ FHD+ AMOLED Super AMOLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is still powered by a Samsung Exynos 1380 octa-core chip and 8GB RAM. The only feature that you are going to pay for when choosing this rather than the cheaper Galaxy A54 5G is that it has a bigger 256GB storage. Aside from that everything is still the same, from its 50MP triple camera setup to its battery, dimensions, and more.
The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G 8GB/256GB config is priced at Php. 26,990.
The POCO F5 Pro is one of the iterations of POCO’s flagship F-series that was launched in the Philippines. It contains pretty much all flagship-level features that can even compete with higher-priced smartphones considering its price tag. The difference in specs of the Poco F5 Pro to F5 is enormous and it is considered a better choice than the vanilla variant. It sports a 6.67″ QHD+ AMOLED display that is paired with a 120Hz refresh rate, so using this as a platform for entertainment will surely be entertaining. Its cameras feature a 64MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. It may not be comparable to flagship cameras that usually feature 108MP shooter and up still, but it is enough for casual photography. It can shoot 4k to 8K video recordings with OIS and EIS features. This device is powered by a flagship chipset which is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. It offers three configurations, an 8GB/256GB, 8GB/512GB, and a 12GB/512GB UFS 3.1 combo. For its battery, it packs a 5160mAh battery capacity paired with 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging.
The two configurations both fit in the 25K to 30K budget while the upgraded 12GB+512GB is priced above. The POCO F5 Pro is priced at Php 26,999 for the 8GB+256GB configuration and Php 28,999 for the 8GB+512GB model.
This is our list of smartphones that are priced from P25K to 30K in the Philippines. As we head to the second half of 2023, we expect to see more smartphones on this list.
