Facebook’s Mobile App

Facebook’s Mobile App can reach the messenger inbox of people tested by the company. Facebook will increase testing soon.

Messenger was released as a separate app in 2014 after being part of Facebook since 2011. Sharing locations, audio calls, and peer-to-peer payments followed.

Over the past decade, Messenger has added encrypted calls, custom emojis, and video chats. Facebook’s Mobile App is also improving Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram multi-app conversations, and Facebook and Instagram users can already direct messages.

Meta also reported success with community chats, a 2022 Facebook Groups tool. Facebook wants to add more messaging features to make connecting easy.
