The browser’s payment option settings make it easy to check, update, or delete Google Chrome’s autofill credit card numbers.

  • First, open Google Chrome on your Mac, PC, or Linux computer. Click the button with three vertical dots in the top right corner of any Chrome window. Click “Settings” in the menu that comes up.

  • It will open the “Settings” tab. In the sidebar, click “Autofill,” then click “Payment Methods.”

  • Under Payment  settings, look for a section near the bottom of the window called “Payment Methods.” Here, Chrome will show credit cards that it has saved in the past. Click the “three dots” button next to a card to learn more about it.

  • Choose “Edit” from the small menu that pops up.

  • In the “Edit Card” window that pops up, you can see the whole credit card numbers, the date it expires, the name on the card, and a nickname for the card.

  • On the edit screen for the card, you can change the stored card information if you need to or copy and paste the data to another place. Click “Save” after making changes.

  • On the Payment Option screen, click the “Add” button if you want Chrome to use a new credit card for Autofill. Or, if you’re going to get rid of a saved credit card numbers in Google Chrome, click the three dots next to the card in the list and choose “Remove.”

  • Close the Settings tab when you’re done, and you’re good to go. If you need to look at your saved cards again, go to Settings > Autofill > Payment Methods in Google Chrome.

Using Chrome to manage Google Pay cards

  • If you’re logged into Chrome with a Google account and have a credit card linked to Google Pay, you can find it by going to Settings, Autofill, and Payment Methods (like in the section above).

  • To learn more about a card that works with Google Pay, click the icon next to it that looks like a square with an arrow. This will open the Google Pay website.

  • You won’t see the whole credit card number like you can with an Autofill-stored card (see section above). But you can see the card’s last four digits, and the date expires.

  • Click “Remove” or “Add Payment Method” on the Google Pay website to add or remove a saved card.
